On this page I want to give an impression of the nature in and around Marloth park
What plants and animals you will see.
We try to keep the habbitat in Marloth in it's original state, it is absolutly forbidden
to keep foreign animals or to plant alien plants
Also pets are not alowd in Marloth, we love to hear the lions rour and not a barking dog
Pets are spreading diseases to our indiginous animals, and then it will be spreaded in
Marloth and to the animals in Lion Spruit and also in Kruger Park
Foreign plants wil overrule our indiginousw plants,
that way our indiginous animals wil not have any food left
Marloth has a very difersity of insects and birds
The park is splitted in two parts, one is the part where the houses are
and the other part is the lion spruit reserve
The people who own a house in marloth Park are also responsible for the lion Spruit reserve
We have honarary rangers en it will be garded by game rangers who work close together with the rangers from kruger
because the poachers come in both parks, in 2009 our rino Frieda is killed and dehorned by poachers
but because the close participation of both rangers kruger and lion spruit we have some successes to catch poachers
The owners off houses are also participating and watch every abnormal activity and warn when they see something strange
Some off the workers who are in Marloth poach with snares
Then something abouth the risk that toerists have when they don't realize they are gast in a nature reserve with wild animals
Because the animals in Marloth walk freely and are used to human who feed them
that make them lesser shy then the animals you wil meet in the kruger
This will give the thinking they are very friendly and pettable, but don;t make that misstake yhey are and will be wild animals
and they will act as wild animals.
You are alowed to feed them but only in a responsible way with food that fit in there dieet, so not the food we like to eat.
Fruit like apple and banana are good to give and other fruits.
BREAD IS ABSOLUTLY NO GOOD THEY GET STOMMICK PROBLEMS OF THAT SO DON'T FEED BREAD
The blueball apes and warthogs aswell as zebra wil visit dayly and like the feeding you do
but don't overfeed they get so much as they stop on every house.
Near the mainroad you will find cut grasses this you can give to the zebra
In the buildingstore near elephantroad they sell food for the antilope and kudu and birds
Aspecialy in wintertime ( june til august )this is more then welcome for the animals
NEVER EVER FEED THE BABOONS, when you do it's big trouble they see you then as there lesser
and can attack you they are very dominant and in there behavior is feeding a way to show they are humble and surender.
For this reason never put any garbisch outside the house it wil atrack the baboons
The house is also standing in nature so look always in your shoes before to put them on
some little crawlers do like it in your shoe, the scorpion would love the dark place in your shoe
don;t leave towels lying on the floor animals can creep in there.
